6 Favorite Free Apps

Like most of you, I have a smartphone. An iPhone to be exact. And just like about everyone else on this planet, I have some apps that I use most often and that are my favorite. So, for the last installment to my Favorite.... blank series, I thought that I would share those with you.

Bows and Clothes: 6 Favorite Free Apps. Check out my 6 favorite free apps! http://mybowsandclothes.blogspot.com/2015/04/6-favorite-free-apps.html. #app #favorite #free #BowsandClothes

I LOVE Pinterest! It is such a cool site and very addicting. And while I like going on Pinterest on my laptop, I like using the app A LOT more! It is so much more convenient. It is easier to pin pins, and I usually have my phone right with me, so it just better that I don't have to go track down my laptop.

2. Do!
Do! is a to-do list. I am a list-maker, so having a to-do list app is mandatory. You can customize the colors and fonts, and if you would like to check an item off by double-tapping it (I do this). Using a to-do list app also saves paper which saves money. It is really convenient!

3. Evernote
Evernote is very closely related to Do! Evernote is also a list making app, but it is much more advanced. You can make reminders, notes, lists, and you can chat. I use Evernote for keeping all of my blogging notes in one place. I do also have an actual blogging notebook, though. I use it for when I don't have my notebook handy, or when I need to jot something down really quickly. Evernote can also sync to your computer, so you can have your notes, etc. whenever.

I use Twitter mainly for blogging purposes and connecting with my readers. Just like Pinterest, it is way handier than having to grab my computer to tweet. I like having it right at my fingertips. Also, Hootsuite is an app that you can use to schedule your tweets and keep up with your Twitter account.

5. Charity Miles
I was introduced to Charity Miles by Della over at Della Devoted. Charity Miles is an app that uses GPS to track your walks, runs, or bike rides. It uses what it tracks, and, depending how far you walked/ran/biked, it gives money to a charity of your choice. It has a wide selection of charities to choose from, and is VERY easy to use. Just this morning, I walked for a little under 2 miles, and earned a little over $0.47 for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. I know it doesn't sound like alot of money, but if you use it everyday, you will end up raising at ton of money!

6. YouVersion Bible
As most of you know, I am a Christian, and reading the Bible is a very vital part of a Christian's life. I use YouVersion at least twice a day. I love that it has Bible reading plans and devotionals. I also like that it has a number of different translations so that you can understand a passage better. And they recently just added where you can create Bible verse images. You pick out a verse, and one of their image backgrounds, and just like that you have a pretty image!

What is YOUR favorite app?

Happy Wednesday! This shirt was a hand-me-down, and I never actually liked it. More accurately: I hated it! I thought that it was really ugly. I thought that it was the wrong color, shapeless, and that it looked either like a grandma's shirt or a toddler's shirt. Boy, was I wrong!

Contrarily, I now love it! I love the buttons and ties, and can't believe what I used to think about it. I think that one reason why I kept on hating it for a while was that at first I was so adamant about its unattractive-ness. I am pretty stubborn, so this is typical. I was so stubborn about it being ugly, that I never took any time to try and see what its good qualities were.

I believe that I started liking it when I saw lots of loose tops with cute details. Having a small budget, I knew that I wouldn't be able to buy one. And then, pretty magically actually, I came up with a cute outfit that I felt great in.

Moral of the story: don't be so stubborn that you never stop to see the possibilities or the good in something (or someone). Try to refocus, and reflect on why you hated it in the first place. Then, maybe, you can see all of it's (or their) good qualities.

Have a good rest of your Wednesday!

Spring Clothing Haul

Spring Clothing Haul. http://mybowsandclothes.blogspot.com/. #spring #haul #styleblogger

Happy Tuesday! I gave you guys the sneak peek here, but today is the full reveal. I only went shopping at a few places and had the most success at Old Navy. I've always liked Old Navy, but this season's clothes are really cute and affordable! Also, some of these pieces were on clearance and no longer available. Sorry, but a girl's got to check the clearance rack first! Let's get to the reveal:

Spring Clothing Haul. http://mybowsandclothes.blogspot.com/. #spring #haul #styleblogger
I got these at Kohl's. I had been looking for another pair of jean shorts, and these fit the bill perfectly! And, at only $21, they were a definite steal!

I got this tee at Old Navy. I was looking for some more solid tees, and I needed one to go with a new scarf.

This dress is from Kohl's. I fell in love with it when I saw it online and knew that I had to get it. This dress is fairly new, but for some reason, they don't have the exact pattern online, so here is one that is the same dress, but in a different pattern.

Spring Clothing Haul. http://mybowsandclothes.blogspot.com/. #spring #haul #styleblogger
I got these at Old Navy. They were on a GIANT sale at only $15. Take note that full price is $29.99 (I think. Just don't hold me to it, ok?).

Spring Clothing Haul. http://mybowsandclothes.blogspot.com/. #spring #haul #styleblogger
This adorable dress was from Old Navy. It is VERY comfortable! I love it! It hits me at just the right spot on the waist and comes to my knee/right above my knee. The fabric is not too light, either.

I got this lovely top at Old Navy, also. It was an online only item, but it must have been returned to the store. I had been wanting a flowy top, and this one is just right with it's little ruffle and all.

Spring Clothing Haul. http://mybowsandclothes.blogspot.com/. #spring #haul #styleblogger
I got this at Old Navy. Just like the floral dress above, this item is fairly new and I paid full price, but it is also not online. Here is one that is similar but not exact.

I got this at Old Navy, but it is currently out of stock. If you can't tell, it is navy and the paisley is ivory/white.

This top is from Old Navy. I bought it for Easter to go with my khaki pencil skirt. It is super comfy and the ruffles are darling!

This eyelet dress is from Old Navy. I love the eyelet lace! It is just so soft and feminine!

These are the flats that I gave y'all a sneak peek of. They are comfy, cute, and practical! The sneak peek can be found here.

http://mybowsandclothes.blogspot.com/2015/04/high-five-for-friday-sneak-peek.html
I got these at Target.
If you can't tell, these are the palazzo pants that I wrote about here, and they are the bane of my photographing self.

All in all, I feel that I added some really good pieces to my wardrobe. I am definitely ready for Spring (which is actually already here.  We have had some really great temperatures!).

Which is your favorite?

A New and Exciting Adventure

Happy Monday! I trust that you had a lovely Easter. Mine was spent reflecting on the cross and Jesus's Resurrection, worshiping and enjoying a wonderful service at church, spending lots of time with my family, and eating waaaaayyy too much food. :)

I mentioned here that I had something really neat that might come to the blog soon. Well, this is it! I spent a good bit of time brainstorming over a weekend trip that I took a couple of weekends ago, and I am happy to announce that it is coming very soon!

What is this new and exciting adventure, you ask? It is a new thing that I am starting called Style Snippets. I am going to post it every second Tuesday of the month. Style Snippets is going to be a post about style tips, or "snippets" on style. For instance: how to wear a scarf, how to wear a statement necklace, 4 ways to wear a graphic tee, etc. At the end of each post, I will (hopefully) have a poll at the bottom of each post so that you can vote what you would like to see the next month.

Style Snippets will most likely start the second Tuesday in May. I still have a good bit of things to think about and brainstorm. I have got a lot of work ahead of me, but it is not really work because I love blogging.

I am very excited and look forward to my first Style Snippets post!

Bows and Clothes: Style Snippets is a new thing I am starting on my blog. Style Snippets will be a post every second Tuesday. It will be about style tips and ideas. http://mybowsandclothes.blogspot.com/ #style #sblogger #styleblogger #stylesnippets #bowsandclothes

What do YOU think about Style Snippets?

PS: If anybody has a poll that they know of that is compatible with Blogger, would they PLEASE LET ME KNOW?! I want it to go at the bottom of a post. Thanks!

My Favorite.... Shoes

For My Favorite.... Shoes, I thought it would be fun if I did my 8 favorite shoes for Spring. Some of the shoes this season are really cute, but some, not so much. It was a little difficult to find some of these, so they aren't necessarily perfect, but they serve my purpose enough.

Bows and Clothes: 8 Best Shoes for Spring. http://mybowsandclothes.blogspot.com/. #shoes #sandals #sneakers #ankle #boots #heels #wedges #spring
one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight

1. Ballet Flats
I think that ballet flats work for Spring because they can be casual or dressy. They are also very practical and comfortable. You can also get them in many colors and patterns, and you can get some that have cute embellishments like bows or flowers. I personally own a black pair, a leopard pair, and a blue pair.

2. Bright Sandals
I absolutely love bright sandals for Spring! They add a little bit more pizazz to an otherwise boring outfit. They are an easy way to incorporate colors. I love blue ones and pink ones.

3. Flat Sandals
Flat sandals are one of the most practical types of shoes. But, they are SO cute, too! I love white ones because I feel that they are the most practical for my closet. They are so many different colors and designs out there that you will most definitely find the perfect pair in no time at all!

4. Brown Wedges
Brown wedges are super cute! I love mine and wear them all the time! They are very versatile and go with practically everything! They don't have to be wedges, though. You could still rock them if they were flat.

5. Ankle Boots
Who says that ankle boots are only for Fall and Winter? I think that they would be super adorable for Spring! You could wear them with dresses, jeans, skirts, you name it. Plus, if you bought some for Fall, you don't have to spend any extra money!

6. Sneakers
Sneakers are very, very cute for Spring. They are really practical, and versatile, too. And, they are in style right now, so you won't have to search high and low for them. They also come in very many different colors and patterns. These are definitely my favorite that I have seen so far! You can never go wrong with gray and polka dots!

7. Black Pumps
Black pumps are very classic and go with absolutely everything! They can also be worn in every season of life and season of weather.

8. Nude Heels/Ankle Strap Heels
I LOVE my nude heels! They are practical, cute, fresh, and versatile! I also like ankle strap heels. These are my favorite because they are nude and ankle strapped. These also come in blush, black and floral.

Well, that's all! What are your favorite shoes for Spring?

High Five for Friday + a Sneak Peek!

Happy Friday! I seriously can't believe that it is already April! Where has the time gone?! How has your week been? I've had a great week! Check out the five high points of my week:

1. On Monday I went shopping for some more Spring clothes, and I popped into Michael's since it is right by where I was shopping. I, obviously, made a beeline for the clearance section. To my great delight, I found the cutest ring holder for like two bucks! It was the perfect addition to my vanity!

2. Instead of posting the next installment in my Favorite.... blank series yesterday, I posted my Monthly Round-Up. I will be posting the next installment tomorrow. It will be My Favorite.... Shoes. You are not going to want to miss it!

3. Today, I went shopping with my sisters, (I know, two shopping trips in one week! Trust me that never happens!) and found some stuff that I had been needing (and, shall I say, wanting). I found some palazzo pants which I have been wanting for a while now. They were only twenty bucks! I also found a cute dark lavender nail polish. I also needed gum and some hair bows.

4. On Monday, I was going to post an outfit post like usual, but some things got in the way. I was a little bummed that I wasn't able to post it. Then, I was reading one of my daily devotionals, and I felt God telling me that I should post it instead. So, after a lot of procrastination and consideration on my part, I posted it. And I am so glad I did because I found a new blog friend and was able to encourage someone! You can find it here.

5. So, now it's time for the sneak peek! I will be posting (hopefully) next week a haul of all of the new Spring clothes that I got to refresh my wardrobe for the new season. I thought I would do a fun sneak peek of probably my most favorite thing that I got. I had mentioned here that I really wanted them. These flats are just perfect! I love them! They are so cute! I have already worn them, and made even more outfits to wear with them! Come back next week to see the full reveal of all of the Spring clothes that I got!

6. Wait, six? Yes, six. I just had so much to tell y'all that I had to break the rules a bit! :) The sixth thing is that I cleaned out my closet. It is so clean and organized! I love having a neat closet! It just makes everything that much easier. Click here to find 5 tips to spring cleaning your closet.

Monthly Round-Up: March 2015

Welcome to the Monthly Round-Up post for March 2015. Sorry it's a day late! I was not able to post it yesterday for various reasons that I will not bore you with. Usually, on Thursday's, I post the next installment in my Favorite.... blank series, but since I am posting my round-up today, I will move my Favorite.... blank post to Saturday. It will be my Favorite.... Shoes, so you don't want to miss it!
Bows and Clothes: Monthly Round-up: March 2015. Where I round-up the most viewed post, the most shared post, and the post that got the most comments. http://mybowsandclothes.blogspot.com/

1. Most Page Views
The post that had the most page views for March was Liebster Award. It got 68 page views! I had so much fun answering Ashley's questions! This was one of my favorite posts!

2. Most Comments
The post that had the most comments was (drum roll, please) Liebster Award! It got eight comments! I always love it when I hear from you guys! To know that I am not just talking-or, rather, writing-to a wall, makes my day! Thanks!

3. Most Shares
The post that got the most shares was High Five for Friday on March 13. Two different people +1'd it on Google+! Even though that isn't a lot, I am still celebrating my small successes. I have come a long way!

On a sort of other note, instead of doing round-up posts every month, what if I did posts that sum up all of my favorites of each month. For instance: favorite buys, favorite post, etc? Would y'all like that better? Please answer in the comments!
