Happy Friday! How was your week? It was really quiet at my house this week. Not too much happened, I'm glad for restful, quiet weeks. Read down to see the five high points of my week.
1. The prompt for Five Minute Friday is hidden.
I think sometimes a lot of us feel hidden. Like we feel that no one sees us or knows us. I also think that a lot of the time, we make it that way. We don't reach out. We'd rather just hide in our little shell.
But that's not what God has called us to do. God has called us to go and reach out to the others that also feel hidden. Those that also feel like they're nothing. And tell them that they are something. That they are known and loved by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
2. This week, I noticed just how many summer clothes in my closet that I haven't worn yet. In order to get some use out of my unworn clothes, I created a capsule wardrobe of sorts. Most times, when a capsule wardrobes is created, whomever is creating it will make sure that the pieces can be worn many different ways. However, my capsule has 23 pieces which only include shirts and dresses because I wear all of my shorts. The point is that for the next two months, I must wear either a top or dress from the capsule in some way.
3. For a while, I would show you guys one outfit from the week, but I got out of it. Today, I'm changing that. Here is what I wore on Wednesday:
4. I've never really been a YouTube video watcher, but ever since I got really into makeup, I started watching some. This week, I've been watching some super great makeup videos in my free time. My absolute favorite YouTubers are Tati of Glam Life Guru and Emily Noel.

Best Natural Drugstore Makeup
Happy Wednesday! I love makeup. I love makeup because it's like art. It's a way that I get to express myself. That being said, when I wear makeup out, especially during the day, I like to keep it natural. I want my makeup to look like my face, just enhanced a little. Below are my picks for the best natural makeup that can be bought from your local drugstore.
1. Almay Smart Shade Skin Tone Matching Makeup $13.99
This foundation is super great! It is easy to apply and is light coverage, which means that it adds a bit, but not too much, of color correcting and smoothing.
2. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser $7.94
This concealer is my absolute favorite. I rave about it all the time! Easy to apply and medium coverage, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind is perfect for a natural makeup look.
3. Coty Airspun Translucent Extra Coverage Loose Face Powder $5.67
This face powder is my favorite because it is finely milled and has the perfect amount of coverage. It also works great to set concealer.
4. e.l.f. Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette $10
This e.l.f eyeshadow palette has plenty of beautiful natural colors. The formula is super blendable and pigmented as well.
5. e.l.f Cool Bronzer $4
e.l.f. makes three different bronzers in this type of packaging. I have the Warm and Cool, and they also make Golden. The Warm is shimmery and the Cool is completely matte. I like the Cool one better for natural looks.
6. CoverGirl The Super Sizer By Lashblast Mascara $6.85
This mascara is top rated and supposed to give you 400% more volume. When I choose a mascara, especially for natural makeup looks, I purchase ones that are a brownish black color because I have blonde hair. Most black mascaras are just too black to look natural.
7. e.l.f. Precision Sponge Trio $12
I have a makeup sponge similar to the biggest one is this set and I absolutely love it! I use it every time I apply my makeup. I love that this set has three all in different sizes.
8. e.l.f. Gotta Glow Lip Tint $6
This lip balm from e.l.f. is tinted and adjusts with each wearers lips to create the most flattering color. How cool is that?!
9. CoverGirl Cheekers Blush $4.49
Side note: for some reason in this picture this blush is white, but I like the "Pretty Peach" color. This blush is such a pretty color. For me, blush is perfect for adding a natural glow to anyone's face.

Summer to Fall Transition Wishlist & Grace + Lace Link Up
Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was a bit busy, but I enjoyed it. Today, I am sharing with y'all my wishlist for my summer to fall transition and Mackenzie and I have a brand new link up!
When transitioning from summer to fall, I always try to buy clothes that aren't especially thick. I also like to get ones that are easy to wear with my existing summer clothes.
Unintentionally, my color palette ended up being maroon, black, and mustard. Each of these colors are fall hues that work well with plenty of other colors.

High Five for Friday | Lots of Shopping
Happy Friday! I hope you had a fabulous week! Keep on reading to see how mine was.
1. The Five Minute Friday prompt for today is help:
I'm always the help-er, never the help-ee. Not because no one asks to help me, but because I always turn it down. I don't like to ask for or accept help because I don't want people to perceive me as weak.
I have really been in need of strength lately. I find myself asking God for it, when I didn't even know that I needed it. I am reminded of the 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 which says: "But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
The other day, God reminded me that I have to allow myself to be weak in order for His strength to rest on me. I have to ask for help, be real and vulnerable, then God will grant me His strength.
2. The reason that it has been quiet around here is because I've been out of town from July 8-18. I was touring all over South Carolina in a choir. I had a super great time, but I am so glad to be home!
During the tour, we stopped at shopping malls along the way. Here is what I got:
Nike shorts at the Nike Outlet:
This black tee from H&M:
A grey tee from Gap:
A grey boyfriend cardigan:
3. My first two link ups have been so great! Thank you for all who linked up! I love finding great new blogs through link ups. This week's link up has 20 links as of Thursday morning when I was writing this post. :)
I just love blog and social media growth. My instagram has really been growing as well! Don't get me wrong, I am not meaning to brag. I'm just celebrating my accomplishments. I work really hard on this blog and to see it grow makes me super happy!
4. On Tuesday, I went shopping (again!) because I had two $10 off of $20 coupons for Charming Charlie. They also had a sale running for two pairs of sunglasses for $15. So, my sister and I went and shared the coupons. I got a pair of sunglasses, a necklace, and a bracelet.

Outfit details:
White is my favorite color to wear during summer. Even though I don't follow the rules for wearing white- don't wear white before Memorial Day or after Labor Day- I still wear it more during the summer months. There is just something about its simplicity that I love for summer.
Adding the bright coral and green to the white, gives this look the finishing touch.
What color do you wear most in summer?

Gorgeous Paisley Dress & Grace + Lace Link-up!
Happy Monday! I am super excited because today is the day of my first ever link-up! I am also thrilled about these outfit pictures for two reasons: 1. The dress I am wearing is my favorite dress of all time, and 2. I love how these pictures turned out and I love the location they were taken at.
After all that babbling, here's the outfit:

Outfit details:
I ordered this dress from Charming Charlie because it was on sale (and still is!) for only $12.99!! When I saw it on Instagram, I knew I had to get it! I love that it is breezy which is always a plus during southern summers. The colors are absolutely beautiful and I can't get enough of the paisley pattern.
Because this dress is such a show-stopper, I added very simple accessories to allow the dress to shine. I also added my favorite reversible tote, and my beloved silver sandals.

Every week, Mackenzie and I will each pick two bloggers who linked up from the previous week to feature. Since this is the first link-up, we don't have anyone to feature, but look out for next week's features! You might be one of them!

Currently | July
Happy Wednesday! Today, I am joining Anne and Jenna in their monthly currently post. The topics this month are toasting, going, smelling, wearing, and wishlisting:
TOASTING
I don't drink, so I'm not really toasting to anything, but I do like to eat toast! Haha!
GOING
A couple of weeks ago, I went on a week-long vacation to Edisto Beach, SC. This past week, I must have really been in the shopping mood because I went to the mall twice. Also, I am going to a scenic place to take some outfit pictures for the blog.

SMELLING
Lately, I have been smelling sunscreen. Having a pool in my backyard makes it super easy to jump into the pool a few times a week. Even though I love the pool, currently, the water is over 90 degrees, so it's not that refreshing.
WEARING
Since Monday was July 4th, I was sporting some patriotic clothes, and I have been into wearing dresses and skirts since they are so cool in all of the heat. Come back on Monday to see my new favorite dress and my very first link up!
WISHLISTING
The two things that are on my wishlist are a romper and peep toe booties. See and shop some of my favorites below:

A New Link-Up is Coming!
Happy Tuesday! I hope you had a great weekend and Independence Day! Mine was great! Today, I am sharing with y'all some more details on my new link-up:
- First off, this is not just my linkup. Mackenzie from Spreading His Grace and I are embarking on this new adventure together.
- Since we both have such different blog niches, we decided to make this link-up theme-less. You will be able to link any post that you would like as long as it is clean and appropriate.
- We will each feature two blog posts that were linked each week.
- The link-up will go live every Monday starting on July 11th.
- One of the main reasons we wanted to host a link-up was to gain inspiration and new blog friends. We also want those who link to gain inspiration and new friends.
I hope you will come on Monday and link up some of your posts!

High Five for Friday | Lots of Instagram
Happy Friday, y'all! How was your week? Keep on reading to see the five high points of my week!
1. The Five Minute Friday prompt is protect:
I was reading about love yesterday in 1st Corinthians 13. I was reminded what love is, and was caught by the part that says love always protects.
I am now reminded of just how much Christ protects us as His children. We may never even know what could have happened to us, but didn't because God protected us from it.
Another form of protection, not just keeping us from danger, is protecting us from what we think we need. He keeps us from making mistakes and doing things that could be harmful for our future.
I am so thankful that I serve an always-protecting God!
2. Here is what I have been posting on Instagram lately:
I saw this and loved it.
This verse is so great!

3. On Tuesday, I went to the mall to have a fun shopping day. I wasn't really looking to buy something, but I'm never one to pass on a good deal. I saw this dress at Francesca's and it ended up being on sale for under $20!!
4. I am a big screenshot-er. Meaning, when I want to remember something, I just take a screenshot on my iPhone. I have SO MANY on my phone. Here are a few that I have taken this week:
I have had my eye on these lip balms from elf. They sell three colors that change with your pH for the perfect tint.
How adorable is this?!
5. What are you doing for July 4th? I am planning to grill out, have homemade ice cream, and spend the day at the pool. Can't wait for a restful Monday!
Here are this week's posts:
Have a lovely Independence Day!
